America's infrastructure

Almost two decades ago, David Aschauer wrote of America's third deficit, the huge shortfall in investment in infrastructure and the annual report card on the condition of our roads, bridges and such shows that little has changed since then. The tragedy is that such a vital issue only gets our attention when something horrible such as the I35 west bridge collapse last Wednesday occurs.
